COMET Initiative
The COMET (Core Outcome Measures in Effectiveness Trials)
project is a collaborative research project involving the Northwest
and ConDuCT Hubs, the UK Cochrane Centre, and the University of
Oxford. Core outcome sets are the minimum set of outcomes that
should be measured and reported in all clinical trials of a
specific condition.
Aims of COMET:
- To develop the evidence base, and
communication facility for the development and application of core
outcome sets in many different areas of health care.
- To facilitate methodological research in core outcome
sets, which has implications for the whole of medical research
Outputs:
The COMET Initiative website is now live http://www.comet-initiative.org/.
The website includes all talks from COMET-2
and the searchable database. You can leave us feedback and
suggestions,register a new project and let us know about other
relevant work you are involved in, as well as report any published
studies that we may not yet know about. You can also find out
upcoming COMET meetings and workshops, as well as other relevant
events. The website will be continually updated so please do check
back from time to time to find out about upcoming events, new
publications and exciting new projects.
