COMET Initiative

The COMET (Core Outcome Measures in Effectiveness Trials) project is a collaborative research project involving the Northwest and ConDuCT Hubs, the UK Cochrane Centre, and the University of Oxford. Core outcome sets are the minimum set of outcomes that should be measured and reported in all clinical trials of a specific condition.

Aims of COMET:

- To develop the evidence base, and communication facility for the development and application of core outcome sets in many different areas of health care.

- To  facilitate methodological research in core outcome sets, which has implications for the whole of medical research
